Canon releases PowerShot SD3500, SD1400, SD1300 Digital ELPHs

Canon adds the PowerShot SD1400 IS, PowerShot SD1300 IS, and PowerShot SD3500 IS to their Digital ELPH line. They offer features such as wide angle lenses and touch screen functionality in slim, compact camera bodies. The new PowerShots will be available in a variety of splashy colors.

Canon releases their second touch screen model in the 14.1 megapixel SD3500 IS. The previous touch-capable camera, the PowerShot SD980 IS, offered a combination of touch functionality and physical control buttons. The new SD3500 will have no physical buttons on the back panel, making this Canon's first touch-only camera.

An f/2.8-5.9 lens offers a 5x optical zoom range. Encircling the shutter release will be a zoom toggle, and a sliding control will allow the user to switch between shooting modes. The SD3500 will allow users to customize button layout on the shooting screen.

Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS
The PowerShot SD1400 will offer a slightly slimmer profile than its SD peers. With a 14 megapixel sensor, it offers a 4x optical zoom range and will be offered in black, silver, pink, and a bold orange.

Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS
The PowerShot SD1300 IS updates the popular SD1200 IS. They boost pixel count from 10 to 12.1 megapixels, and it will offer a slightly increased 4x optical zoom range.

Pricing and availability
The touch-capable PowerShot SD3500 IS will arrive with an MSRP of $329. The PowerShot SD1400 IS will debut at $279, and the PowerShot SD1300 IS will cost $229. All models will be available in late February.
